Sizing Information

We recommend viewing sizing charts for the specific manufacturers of the product(s) you are purchasing as each manufacturer has specific measurements. We’ve listed most of our wearable brands’ sizing guidelines below.

As always, please feel free to come in to our physical shop any time to make purchases and try on gear in person. You can also call us for real world sizing opinions/comparisons on fitment from one brand to another.

We have a reasonable return policy if you need to exchange your protective gear for a different size.

HELMETS

Like most other motorcycle gear, helmets fit differently between brands and even different models of the same brand. Just because you wear a Medium in one brand does not necessarily mean that another brand's Medium will fit properly.

A helmet should fit snugly, so that it is stable when you shake your head side-to-side, front-to-back or up and down. A full-face helmet should grip your cheeks and jaw as well as the top and sides of your head. It should fit snug, but not be uncomfortable. A helmet that is too loose may come off in a crash, too tight will be uncomfortable. Proper fit means that it is snug enough that your skin moves with the helmet when you try to move it around on your head.

To measure your head for a helmet, use a cloth tape and measure the circumference of your head, about one-to-two inches above your eyebrows.

GLOVES

The most common measurements used in glove sizing are length, width at knuckles, and palm circumference. Length: Measure the length of your hand from the tip of your middle finger to just past the base of your palm where you wrist bends inward. Palm circumference: Using a cloth tape, measure the circumference (front and back) of your palm. Knuckles width: Measure the width of your four fingers side-by-side, from the first knuckle of your pinky, to the first knuckle of your pointer-finger.

JACKETS / PANTS / SUITS

In general, motorcycle riding gear sizing is the same as regular street and dress clothing sizes, but keep in mind that in order to do its job (protect you), motorcycle gear must fit snug enough that its armor will stay in place.

That said, here are some guidelines for measuring your body for gear. You should use a cloth tape to ensure the most accurate measurements:

Chest width: Measure from under/top of one armpit, across chest to under/top of other armpit, then across back to first armpit
Waist: Measure at the hourglass of your torso, (circumference measured at your belly button)
Hips: pelvic bone to pelvic bone, the widest part of your hips below the waist
Inseam: from crotch to big ankle bone
Out seam: from waist to big ankle bone

FOOTWEAR SIZING

Many motorcycle boots and shoes are sold in Euro sizing, so it is helpful to know your equivalent Euro size. The Euro-US conversion chart below may be helpful.

This is how to measure the length of your foot commonly referred to in manufacturers’ shoe size guidelines. Measure your feet with your heel against a wall and measure from the end of your heel in the center, out to the end of your longest toe.
